I taught myself BASIC on a TRS-80 (We called it a Trash 80) in 1980. It had 4k of RAM and no ROM, meaning for it to work you had to play a cassette tape to it to load a program. It was so limited that I gave up programming for 15 years. Today I run a company which operates and sells SAAS Project and Financial Management software.
