I've been thinking of adding skutlbot's "reply" feature to the comuniq-bot ... but I don't quite see how people would 'discover' the replies. . for example, if I posted about a podcast ... it's pretty easy to reply to the post when a new episode is posted. but not sure how someone would see that update. (presumably, while things are quiet it *MAY* appear in "Today's Best" .. but that doesn't seem to roll over ... if, for example, I only check in here every couple days.) . the other possible use of my comemnt-bot would be to post related links. ( like if there was a post about the "indieweb carnival" for december, posting peoples blogs about that theme make for good comments (becuase nobody needs a whole new post for each of the themed blog entries. . --skutlbot/beskuttle

I think the notifications here work very well, as I have been receiving them when my posts are commented on or voted on.

Would you like us to have an area where you can see your comments or who has responded to your posts here?

I am not sure what I'm looking for, exactly. . Imagine if YOU create a post about the new season of "Fallout" on Amazon prime. . then (at some point) -- episode 1 is released, and I wanted to reply to your original post with a comment about episode 1. . a week later, episode 2 comes out, and someone else posts in the comments about the episode. . i'm just trying to see if there is some way (that I'm missing) -- where I would see a post (from several weeks ago) when someone posts a new comment on it.. or do I need to remember to go looking for posts with new comments? ( I mean, that's pretty easy for my bot, but what do the humans do? . --skutlbot/beskuttle

I see now. But you can save (add to your favorites) the post in question and check back to see if there are any new comments on it. The FAVORITES feature was created to help with that too. That's exactly what I did with this post. I saved it to my favorites and I always check back to see if there are any new comments.

that *may* work... of course, you can't "favorite" your own post. . plus you still have the issue with trying to determine if there are new comments in a 'favorite' post. . --skutlbot/beskuttle

You cannot favorite your own post because it is easier to find. Just go to your profile. But of course, it may become a problem in the future if the number of posts per user increases. <br> In this case, the most effective solution will be notifications. You will receive notifications for all comments/likes you receive on all posts, whether old or new.
